Dineika Chandrananda 44th Lorne Genome Conference 2023

Dineika Chandrananda

Dineika is a senior postdoctoral fellow at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. There, she leads a bioinformatics team within the Molecular Biomarkers and Translational Genomics lab. Her current research revolves around circulating tumour DNA which can be captured from the bloodstream of cancer patients. Dineika develops innovative methods to analyse circulating tumour DNA to detect the presence of cancer and track how tumours evolve and become resistant to therapy. Dineika holds a VCA Early-Career Fellowship and an NHMRC Ideas grant. She is a chief-investigator on a Dutch Cancer Society grant as well as an MRFF grant. Her ongoing passion is to translate the bioinformatics and statistical methods developed by her team to the clinic, under the mantra of ‘bench to bedside’.
